I spent over 30 years in the Government of India’s tax machinery — 21 years as an Inspector and 9 years as a Superintendent in the fields of Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax, SEZs, EOUs, and GST. After retiring voluntarily in 2023, I began working as an Indirect Tax Consultant, but the urge to write had long been simmering beneath the surface.
